There are. I have the 1st generation garden hose foam cannon from Chemical Guys and it's worked very well for me. They have a newly re-designed version they sell now which is supposed to work even better. The one I have provided a dial for 3 different foam settings plus water only for rinsing. Look it up and you may find similar or identical generic ones on Amazon. But garden hose foam cannons definitely exist. Most auto parts stores should sell a version or another as well.

It's not going to work well with a hose. There's a reason why all foam cannons are made for pressure washers. You need the pressure to create the foam.

I have a foam cannon with a pressure washer and it works well, but to be honest with you, I don't even use it anymore. It really doesn't make washing your car any easier, better, or safer. In the end, you are still going to need to use a cloth or wipe to wash the car. It's not like you can just apply and rinse (well you can if you like wash your car twice a week when the car is barely dirty). You also end up using way more soap than normal.

Are you diluting the car wash shampoo or are you using it straight? Are you using a snow foam specific car wash or are you using a standard car wash shampoo? Note that a snow foam shampoo is not absolutely critical, lots of people have good results using a quality, non-specific shampoo like Meguiar's Gold Class.

You should however dilute the shampoo in the foam cannon tank, experiment between 1:10 and 1:15 to see which works better for you.

If you are looking for shaving foam-like results, understand that you'll never quite get it without a pressure washer. A standard garden hose system just doesn't have the pressure to achieve those results.

Of course you have to dilute. Impossible to use in a foam cannon without diluting. I use gold class.
