Fantastic deal. In for another. I've tried many of these types of systems, and by far I like this one the best.
It can hold insane amounts of weight in their bags. I've slowly tested over the past year how much I can hold in a bag with our 5 cats. So far I am up to 34 pounds. These now come with a scoop that is very long in the scoop part. It hangs off the back. When I bought it there wasn't a scoop. Easy to clean out. Easy to fit different size litter through it's mouth. You can use your own bags if you want, such as plastic grocery bags, regular trash bags. I prefer their brand the best.

It would take me 2 years to scoop enough cat litter to fill half a 13 gallon bag, and it would stink like crazy after a month. This doesn't look like it's actually 13 gallons in the pictures, that would be as big as a normal full size kitchen trash can? I have a litter genie, they're cheaper than this thing when they're on some kind of deal, there's no stink at all, and the bags hold enough for 2 weeks worth of one cat's litter scoopings, which to me seems about right.

That's going to smell like heck everytime you open it up. Can do the same for free with a Tidy Cats litter bucket and plastic grocery bags.

I'm not sure I understand these. I can never get a scoop of clumping litter to something like this or the litter genie (which I own) without having litter sneak thru the slits on the scoop and get on the floor. I always think they should make these things with a flap that sticks out so you can put it next to the litter box and move the litter clumps over without spill.

You should consider switching your litter. I had similar problem with different litter. However, remember that you don't need to get every single itsy bitsy piece of urine when scooping. Just scoop, shake a little for the loose litter to fall through the opening of the litter scoop, then discard. I am using Ikea's litter scoop and works fine, short handle but found it best when it comes to hole sizes. As for poop scooping, I almost never have lose litter after shaking it a little bit before transferring to genie. If you move that much litter, you will run out of litter soon. Just scoop, shake, don't worry about few tiny urine pieces and then replace your litter every month after washing the litter box. If poop is loose, try different food.

I can see a possible problem of bag leakage coming in contact with steel, especially at the seems, and lifting a heavy bag of cat litter that can of tear or rip. I use non clumping litter, and use empty litter bags for waste, and use a clip to seal of the top of the bag.
