It seems you can get it for about 170 from boost mobile (includes 1 month of service, no port in)
https://www.boostmobile.com/shop/iphone-16e.html
When you check out, the fine print you have to check the box on says you have to maintain service for 3 months or get charged full price on the phone as well.

Tracfone, Total Wireless and Straight Talk are all the same company (owned by Verizon) - to qualify for discounts the ported number has to be from another company.

You can never walk out of the TW's local store easily.
Virtually impossible to do anything "easily" with TW! Just contacting cs via chat is endless verification questions before you get to the issue, often chat is dropped & it's starts all over again! My data hasn't worked since I adjusted my plan 10/31 and still doesn't after wasting 70 min on support BS!
I truly hate this company for what they do to customers! I've tried leaving w/my # 5 times & they always sandbag my port out 🤬

I had a very horrible experience with Total. I got their $65 plan with free Disney+ for $30 last year. They rewarded me for being a loyal customer for a while year with $200 imaginary credit. I could only use the credit for a month service payment ($30) or some crappy phones.

I somehow finally purchased an iPhone 14 with the credit and paid the difference but they refused to ship the phone for months while holding my money. If I cancelled the order, I would lose the $200 credit because it's non-refundable and those reps were pushing me to cancel it since the fulfillment center hasn't shipped it. So I was in a dilemma because I desperately needed a phone ATM.

I've always had to go through the FCC to fix every single issue I've had, including honoring the $30 promo price for the $65 plan. I couldn't go to FCC because of the shutdown. So I opened a BBB case and the rep called to help me place the order. Phone was finally shipped in two days.

When I got the phone, I called more than 10 times asking if there would be any price change on my original $35 plan. They all said no, you're good, this will be a different plan.I activated the phone and boom, my plan price changed to $65. It was like, "Surprise! Surprise!! We caught you!". I immediately port out to Google Fi same second, same minute I discovered it.

Sorry it was off topic and long.
Definitely within the same topic! People need to hear about the hell they put y'all through and hopefully save themselves from this evil POS company! They gave you $200 "loyalty" as a newer customer? I've been stuck here 5+ years and they said I still had 2 months to go before I earn $200 loyalty!😡
my phone is so outdated and I tried to get Motorola stylus last week but surprise, surprise couldn't get past stupid ID verification! Gave up after 4 attempts of it just hanging there after submitting everything required!

I'm at a total wireless right now and they are making me get the $60/ month phone line plus additional $50 activation cost plus $60 insurance plus tax on the phone
Insurance? How is that legal? Sounds like the scams the Metro affiliate stores pulled on people constantly!

As well as making the new unlock policy retroactive (should have been illegal). There were plenty of angry frustrated customers from the April 1 unlock policy change (SD had pages and pages for several deals).
Just be aware Verizon (owner of TW, ST and TF) can make changes whenever they want and customers have minimal recourse (especially now with the FCC shutdown).
Recommend everyone read all the details of the unlock policy if unlocking is important.
Yeah sneaky bastards forgot the FCC even exist anymore with this current administration LOL

Same here. Been trying to fix one of my lines and it's just an endless loop via chat.

$300 total is not bad. They are selling them used for $375+ but I'm waiting for a better deal... If not on black Friday I'm sure they will be even cheaper when they release 17e..

i cant seem to find any clear directions on how to get a numberb@rn number set up and ready for a port in at a total wireless store. Tons of post about it but nothing as far as parking vs port selection when you get the number. I have seen reports that total wireless has restrictions on the type of number (no land lines, 6 vs 9 digits for port code, etc). I have also seen that a confirmation number will be text/sms to the number you are trying to port in to total wireless and no instructions on how to actually set up the number at numberb@rn to either be 'parked' if necessary or if 'port' purchased number is also able to be set up to get text/sms or forward to email. Does anyone have clear instructions on how to do this??
