Isn't this model better at the same [regular] price level?

I have owned both. Got the Costco one initially. It worked great but I was an idiot and didn't maintain it well, so it stopped drawing up all the water during brewing. Cuisinart replaced with OPs product. The hopper *seems* smaller on the OP version, though I am not positive it is. The Costco version had a shoot for the grounds that got caked up and had to be cleaned out regularly. The newer one either doesn't have that design or just doesn't have accessibility to clean that area readily. I haven't had the new version long so there is a lot TBD.

That was a nice detailed comparison. The Costco one, that I also own, appears to have more settings for your brew (strength and cups).
