Nothing, that's just a script the bots are programmed with.

In theory the shedding and breathing in of microplastics (polyester fibers) might be a problem, and is certainly something one might avoid if possible.

In practice almost everyone has some (a lot of) artificial textiles in their homes. Drapes, rugs, clothes, etc. Cotton can also have it's own problems with dyes, coatings, dust mites, etc.

It's up to each of us to manage these ambiguous risk factors but there is no clear cut, obvious reason to avoid artificial textiles...again, if even possible, with what they're even doing to cotton and wool.
