Save yourself a Franklin spot.
It was $160 several times at worst buy.
IMO, this is the lowest for this particular model & new. Can you point to any previous thread? (I couldnt find any myself)

"X-Boost output to 1600W and run 80% of home appliances"

this is a nice little high-powered grab-n-go device

the specs on the costco page are a little confused'

River 2 is only 256wh, this is EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro with 768wh.
Not the same thing, but the Ecoflow naming is terrible inviting confusion.

Don't buy that incredibly misleading marketing line. X-Boost does not boost the output. It reduces voltage and only works if the device you're powering will run at lower voltage, and even then, you're simply just running whatever appliance or device at lower output than you would typically, so its performance will likely be crippled if it even works at all.

I don't even know how they get away with marketing that feature, it's basically a full on lie. Maybe they only market it like that on US customer portals since in the US lying to the public is not only permitted but encouraged.

thanks, on the verge of getting this but ... can you advise of the next higher-priced product that can do more than 800 watts?

I use it for this but my sump pump is a 1/3HP Wayne CDU790 that has a PSC motor which makes it more efficient than some. I don't leave it connected all the time, but it can connect in passthrough mode and I'll do that when away on vacation. I like this over the DC basement watchdog type setup because without that I can fit two of the main 1/3HP pumps in the pit with one acting as the backup. Very clean setup IMO. Haven't ever had a problem with pump starts using this model or my older River Pro.

Agreed…should say something like "May allow you to run some appliances rated up to 1600W at reduced performance". Having said that, I'm glad it's there because it allows me to start my fridge while it fails without even though operating wattage is 400W. There are warnings about x-boost causing damage to anything with sensitive electronics though so beware. FWIW, in spite of the warnings I couldn't find actual reports of it frying anything and I wouldn't mind replacing this fridge anyway!
