Costco is cheaper, especially when they have coupons. This is definitly designed to last a while but if you are willing to change more frequently, it's cheaper to buy at Costco. The total of this deal is 925ft².

Personally I would think having this gigantic roll in my bathroom would mean buying in bulk and saving money, but that's not the case.

This is a deceptive product.

1. More roll available = more of a tendency to waste more TP. TP companies love exploiting your psychology.
2. More of the roll exposed to the wet, moist air of the restroom. What could go wrong?

Don't waste your time with this nonsense.
Get a bidet + get smaller rolls. You'll be just fine.
You are wrong on it all.

Yes much, the Costco folks swoop in like vultures on every deal on paper goods pretty much. I guess they have to convince themselves how great Costco is even when a deal is indeed cheaper elsewhere. As I said, unless you show me the math, which I'm sure won't add up to be anywhere near as good as this deal, making these blanket "it's cheaper at Costco" statements is comedy gold in my book.
Only because you asked, just to show you the 70 million Costco members are not the only ones saving by NOT buying this....1. Amazon 18 mega pack - 657 ft² = $.0456/ft² 2. Target 12 pack - 582ft² = $.0455/ft² 3. This deal 925ft² = $.0627/ft² w/o gift card Or $.0486/ft² with gc. 4. Refills are 555ft² = $.0540/ft² And last but certainly not least, my local Costco delivered price...... $.044/ft²

Not coming apples to apples on the forever rolls, and you didn't factor in the $15 Visa Card rebate either or 5% savings for some with red card.

My Costco has the same price as yours, but my Amazon subscription is cheapest at $.042.

I still remember the $10 for 6 avocados during COVID when Target sold them for .69 each. Since the CEO bragged about disguising profit increases as inflation, I'm very careful about what I buy there. Really only get steak and the items I can't find elsewhere.

I actually work at a mill that makes the Costco (Kirkland Signature) TP so I feel obliged to post. This really is not a great deal for the consumer, 1700 sheets/roll x 5 rolls total = 8500 sheets. A Kirkland Signature roll is 340 sheets, 30 rolls/pack, 10200 sheets. Locally the 30 packs sell for $20.49, well under half the cost of this, even after the credit.

Say what you will about quality, I like the Costco stuff but it also pays my mortgage. And I get it for free lol.

Edited to add; this is a great deal for the mills that make it provided their equipment can handle these monster rolls. Less cardboard core material, less glue, less packaging, etc.

Not sure how you are saying "1/2 the cost of this" when you are getting $30 ($15 in GC and $15 in P&G rebate back), so net is $28 + tax, not $58. Now, I'm not saying buying straight out toilet paper not in this configuration may not be cheaper somehow, I'm simply stating that if this floats your boat and you want this kind of TP set up, you have to compare this exact item to what you'd pay for it elsewhere. I'm also of the belief the prices on these refill rolls will indeed drop as time goes on. There are many people who are content with store brand TP at Walgreens too that is often dirt cheap. $1.99 for 4 mega = 16 rolls.

I missed the double $15 rebate/gc, thought it was just one. In that case, yes, not half.

I dunno, I see 36 Charmin at Costco as 835 sq ft for $37

or Target 3 Forever rolls (before redcard) at 555 sq ft per roll or 1665 sq ft for $30

This, times 100.

As an experiment, I changed paper early to gather up some short rolls, keeping track of how long it took for the roll to go short in the first place. Then I put only the short rolls on the holder for a while. In every case, it took much longer to go through the second half of the roll. Everyone else in the house acts like it's some huge exhausting chore to change an empty roll, which is why I did it.

It wasn't a scientifically designed, well controlled experiment, but it did confirm my own personal suspicions. I don't even like the mega rolls they sell at the warehouse clubs, but the discount is large enough that I buy them there anyway instead of smaller rolls at other stores.

Yeah, I'm more than just a little bit weird.

Hi guys, I'm new to forever rolls so this seems perfect for me. Is it pretty easy to use for newbies? Do I have to adjust my wiping style at all?

Yes, you must rub your belly and stand on one leg as you do your thing. Big Grin
