Personally I would think having this gigantic roll in my bathroom would mean buying in bulk and saving money, but that's not the case.
For those wondering, it is 2 ply

1. More roll available = more of a tendency to waste more TP. TP companies love exploiting your psychology.
2. More of the roll exposed to the wet, moist air of the restroom. What could go wrong?
Don't waste your time with this nonsense.
Get a bidet + get smaller rolls. You'll be just fine.
Not coming apples to apples on the forever rolls, and you didn't factor in the $15 Visa Card rebate either or 5% savings for some with red card.
I still remember the $10 for 6 avocados during COVID when Target sold them for .69 each. Since the CEO bragged about disguising profit increases as inflation, I'm very careful about what I buy there. Really only get steak and the items I can't find elsewhere.
Say what you will about quality, I like the Costco stuff but it also pays my mortgage. And I get it for free lol.
Edited to add; this is a great deal for the mills that make it provided their equipment can handle these monster rolls. Less cardboard core material, less glue, less packaging, etc.

or Target 3 Forever rolls (before redcard) at 555 sq ft per roll or 1665 sq ft for $30

As an experiment, I changed paper early to gather up some short rolls, keeping track of how long it took for the roll to go short in the first place. Then I put only the short rolls on the holder for a while. In every case, it took much longer to go through the second half of the roll. Everyone else in the house acts like it's some huge exhausting chore to change an empty roll, which is why I did it.
It wasn't a scientifically designed, well controlled experiment, but it did confirm my own personal suspicions. I don't even like the mega rolls they sell at the warehouse clubs, but the discount is large enough that I buy them there anyway instead of smaller rolls at other stores.
Yeah, I'm more than just a little bit weird.
In which way?
