So tired of seeing 50 jackery posts every day! Massive amount of reposts like Amazon stuff. This site isn't what it used to be

Sad to say this is new norm. Primarily this site is to make money for the site. This is not a member first community. Fatwallet at the end made the same mistake.

Maybe the point many are making is Slickdeals started out as a community, posting real discounts, but has turned into a product promoted jungle. Browsing over the muck to find the real slickdeals is a little harder than it used to be.

Where do people use these portable power supplies? They seem to be an idea gone wrong judging by the amount of deals posted for them lately. It's Slickdeal season......help me make this thing fit into my life. Lol

So how many of you would pay a monthly subscription if SD didn't post deals that made them money?

I suspect not many. I just gloss over any deals I am not interested in. Easy.

Ahh... how I miss the thrills of the HP Touchpad fire sale, AMZ warehouse glitch with PS3 and Xbox 360 games and consoles. Still have the $25 backward compatible PS3 systems about 2 now and a ton of the $1.94, 4.33 games. Those were some of the golden days I remember Frown

I don't disagree, but Slickdeals needs to pay for the platform etc etc.

If that means if I have to scan over deals that are promoted or not of interest, so be it.

There are still plenty of community posted deals that SD staff missed so I am pretty happy.

I know that I benefit from the deals posted whether they are promoted deals or community posted.

Amen. The Touchpad was the golden era. I do like my power station though, has kept the Internet, tv and lights going for us when the power was out.

The Vtoman Flashspeed 300 has near identical specs and is $90 refurbished on ebay. I have the Flashspeed 600 and 1500 and am very happy with them.

Not only has this site changed but the community as well. Some were never here during the peak years where price mistakes, coupon errors and rebates galore were frequent.
There was a deal on some random item due to a price mistake and a few posters were saying that it was unethical and akin to stealing. Lol.
I guess some are content with the 10% off affiliate deals. Feeds their consumerism. 😬
