Has anyone here had any issues with Amazon delivery? In my area my Amazon delivery person works by themselves so I'm not sure how they can unload this off the truck and bring it up to my front porch. I'm worried about it getting damaged or dropped.
You are Not wrong to worry about that. I had a 75" TCL delivered from Amazon just over 6 months ago and the cardboard box looked a little beat up, but I thought it would be ok....it was not as the screen had spider cracks all over it.

This is a 3rd party seller, not Amazon.

I do have this TV after 8 years and multiples LG OLED. This TV is fantastic. Paid $1,500 six months ago during the Best Buy deal. If you can, wait until Black Friday two weeks from now.
So this is an 8 year old TV?

Not to be a dick, but there's only been about two comments so far on this thread that have any relevance to whether or not this is actually a good deal or a good TV.

What the hell are we doing here guys?

"I've had this tv for 8 yrs" … Really? Why bother posting dumb sh*t like that, about a 1yr old TV?

Who has it, who loves it, why should I buy it, and why is this better than all the other $1,400 TV's?

Not, I'm waiting for the QM15k, or I'm waiting for this to drop to $500 on Black Friday.

Is this a good deal on this tv today? This question is essentially the basic Tenet of the Slickdeals website.

I will say that some YT pundits like this model better than the QM9K for their respective prices.

Picked up the 85 with this hope that in case the price drops I can request an adjustment.Part of me thinks that some of these early deals is to allow/manage the spread of delivery logistics. I.e. Front load some of the early shoppers and not swamp delivery load from BF sales.

That's not what they said. Although not really written in the best way, you should've been able to understand what they meant. They were saying after 8yrs of using multiple LG OLEDs, that they still found this tv to be fantastic. They bought it 6 months ago.

Probably because they are tv ignorant like me. I am older and have always owned a basic entry level tv no bigger than 55". I would like to own a bigger better tv before I leave this world and like this TCL QM8K from what I see. Does anyone think this will drop another 10-20% for BF or CM. Or can anyone recommend a better tv in this price range? This tv seems to be better than many of the OLEDs out there. Of all my research I just can't decide since I am tv ignorant. Any help appreciated!

I purchased the prior generation 75" QM8 in January for $1200 (TV prices generally bottom out in January into February). I cross shopped it with LG and Samsung OLED TVs, but chose the QM8 because it was being installed in a bright room with skylights and windows. A decent OLED will look better in a dark room. This looks better during daytime in my specific viewing area. It is incredibly bright and has much less glare than my bedroom OLED. The colors pop, it is SUPER bright, and the blacks are very black without much bloom unless you are sitting very close in a perfectly dark room. I would purchase it again for use in a room without good light control.
