Walmart delivery uses a separate delivery service called spark. Which they also own. Which makes it easy for them to use "immigrant" labor and greatly reduce the wages of the drivers. There is no hourly rate. You get paid per delivery bid.

Most of the items I order from Walmart are available via same day shipping OR delivery. Same day shipping also gets delivered by some person in their personal car just like delivery, but no tip is asked for on shipping. Unless I absolutely need it now and same-day shipping is not an option is the only time I use delivery + tip.

Also, there is no order minimum with same-day shipping so I can buy something for $5 and the final cost is $5.

Be careful with Walmart+ renewals... they are less than "clear". My account showed a renewal date of 11/3 and a price of $49. This question was asked in a separate thread over the last couple of weeks too. I was charged $98 on 11/3. NOT the $49. The listed $49 price was the "promo" I was on and not my renewal fee.

Online chat was able to cancel my account today and offer a prorated refund of $96.12. They also sent a $10 promo code for my troubles.

I cancelled last month (to ensure I didn't get charged) with an 11/8 or 11/9 end-of-year/plan date. Today (11/10) I pulled up the site, when to my account's Walmart+ page and was offered the 1/2 off promo.

At least for me, I actually had to be off W+, not just a planned cancellation, to get the offer.

I had a similar issue on Saturday during renewal. I had done the whole initiate cancel and get the 50% discount offer which I accepted. However, I was still charged the full amount. After way too long and way too many reps, they were finally able to refund $97.73. I guess I had 0.27 of usage 🙄. They only could offer me a $5 promo code for the inconvenience too. So this promotion occuring a day after all of the fuss for me is mildly infuriating lol

Is it true that Walmart usually excludes members on free trials for special events like Black Friday Sales?

Do you mean like from the sales? Usually their sales are member exclusive that expand to normal shoppers after a certain time

I often use Amazon for grocery deliveries and checked Walmart. Seems that WM has more OOS items and higher prices than Amazon, at least in OC, CA.

Just went back into my Walmart+ account to confirm it was cancelled, per the chat rep. It was. Pop up offered me 50% off to come back to Walmart+. Which I accepted. Back in the game! At $49, it is a no-brainer for the gas savings for me. The streaming membership will be helpful - I'll choose Peacock, if there is no Peacock deal this year, so that we can watch the Peacock NBA games.

Moral of all this - if your Walmart+ renewed this month at the full price, then chat online to get it cancelled and refunded at a prorated rate. You might even get a promo code for your troubles.

Thanks OP was waiting for this. Love Walmart plus, one of the few things in life that easily pays for itself. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it.

Does this cover the premium peacock subscription or the basic one?
Premium.
(not the select plan or premium plus).
peacock's plan naming is confusing but you can watch basically anything premium plus can but just with ads.

Cancelation is easy but now you don't get a refund.

How does this compare with Amazon prime's same day grocery shipping with $25 orders perk they recently added?

I ordered few times @ amazon same day grocery and the prices for many items are cheaper than the grocery store. Seems like a good service but selection of items is limited. And some stuff like dairy products they didn't put into insulated bags which I didn't like.
