Walmart delivery uses a separate delivery service called spark. Which they also own. Which makes it easy for them to use "immigrant" labor and greatly reduce the wages of the drivers. There is no hourly rate. You get paid per delivery bid.

Most of the items I order from Walmart are available via same day shipping OR delivery. Same day shipping also gets delivered by some person in their personal car just like delivery, but no tip is asked for on shipping. Unless I absolutely need it now and same-day shipping is not an option is the only time I use delivery + tip.

Also, there is no order minimum with same-day shipping so I can buy something for $5 and the final cost is $5.

In October I canceled my membership when they wanted 100$ to renew. November they show me offers 49$ to comeback to plus. December they may offer 25$ ... probably not. 100$ I was hell no , 49$ I'm considering it. Truth be told I don't use many benefits available I've been a Walmart plus member several years . Occasionally there's a deal worth buying free shipping comes in handy. I don't use home delivery 3rd party sellers pissed me off more than I was happy, Walmart even shipped stuff late occasionally (promised 3day shipping meant it didn't ship for 3 days rather than receiving it in 3 days) I tried paramount and didn't use it , I don't eat enuf fast food to justify a free whopper every 3 months . I'm trying to justify buying it I haven't been able too yet . 30-40$ I may bite 50$ I don't think I'm buying it.
I have never seen W+ for less than $49. Maybe someone here knows of a better deal.

Almost tempting, but the video streaming services being the ad supported versions - I'd rather have someone attach electrodes to my balls than watch ads. You can't even "pay the difference" to get the ad free experience. (Do correct me if I'm wrong).
Block ads on your router then you won't have to pay extra

We are getting close to BF and yet we are not seeing the peacock, hulu, paramount yearly deals yet. I already have wm+ for the free shipping and paramount. Do I buy a second membership for peacock? Seems to me it was $2 or less per month in the past. If we dont see any good deals soon, I might go this route.. Now what to do about hulu..
Verizon has peacock if you have that?

I got an offer for $49 in Walmart cash if I renewed, I'm hoping they charge me $98 so that the Amex offer applies. I clicked it too quickly to get a screenshot. I have to wait till tomorrow to see what they'll charge on my Amex.
How did you get that offer? Did you have to try to cancel the existing membership?

$731.52 saved this last year for me:
About $5 between the fuel and Burger King discounts.
Paramount+ for drag race (not factored into the savings)
$447.80 savings on rushed delivery (really helpful with two kids. just rushed a bunch of soup, BRAT stuff, and electrolyte drinks a couple days ago when everyone was sick)
$62.91 on "free" (not sure what this is)
$215.62 on rollbacks, clearance, and price discounts.

Line skipping when shopping in store via Scan n Go is fantastic. Prices on the app when shopping in store store are often cheaper, which is nice.

I would normally agree but I did re-up and selected Peacock for the upcoming Winter Olympics.

Sorry if I was not clear, she singned up by accident a while ago and I canceled, so i am not eligible for the 50 bucks rate that i am interested in. I get groceries 52 weeks a year at $1 per delivery I would spend more in gas driving to Walmart than that.

well, personally I would call and explain the accident, that you would love to reup the membership etc, you might be surprised. I called a while back and griped about delayed shipping for a jumpack I wanted with for a road trip, they cancelled it and reordered, both were late and for the inconvenience they refunded both and told me to keep them..new in box no less each were $80 lol. Call them, you have a story to tell, they will fix it. ps..call and hang up till you get a filipina, they have more empathy and really go the extra mile and deserve a great review at call end. 2 seperate calls, 2 seperate people, same level of service, outstanding.

Yes? I mean theres shipping or delivery, shipping is just like UPS from amazon or something like that, and I dont think theres even ability to tip. Even though its delivered by plainclothes people and often same or next day (if its a item stocked in a local store).

The other type is "delivery" Which is basically for groceries as far as I use it. Which has a 35 minimum or a 6.99 fee.

They prefill 10% on the tip on delivery, and I usually adjust it down a bit. idk why just feels right to me. So if I order 60 of stuff, they'll prefill a $6 tip, I'll probably adjust it down to 5.

well worth it tbh. You save time, gas. and WM has the best grocery prices anyway. And you can really find deals and finesse your savings online. And I find I buy way less spur of the moment stuff just because its a lot more intentional online. Just last time I found these awesome little single size cups of mac n cheese or mashed potatos for .97 from the deli. Still warm when I got em. tastes good and you cant get anything for .97! These are definitely going in my repertoire.

These are some cheapasses that dont tip.

Oh and you just tip in the website/app duh. No I def dont hand cash or something to the delivery person (I purposefully always avoid them and let them leave it on the doorstep before getting it)

Don't waste your money with Walmart online. Included picture is what I got for $169 + tax - empty box. Their delivery people are thieves.
you left out the part about how they refunded you everything with ease btw, stop crying. sometimes they have messed stuff up , forgot certain items or a bag of items. however its not that big a deal in most cases and its basically like an automated refund system. just go online and say you didnt get something or things it's auto refunded. iirc they also gave me an extra bag of somebody elses stuff before (free), luckily it was all stuff i like. so the errors go both ways. when its a big annoyance is say if you were wanting to eat something and they mess that up (lets say they deliver your hot dogs you were craving, but not the buns) or forget a critical item like for me, paper towels. however all in all its not that big a deal and doesnt happen that often. Another issue is a few times if they deliver you "bad" vegetables. Like a soggy tomato. Again. 1st world problems though, and I haven't had vegetable problems at all in a while. Which given the sorry state of wal mart's produce section is kind of remarkable.
