Walmart delivery uses a separate delivery service called spark. Which they also own. Which makes it easy for them to use "immigrant" labor and greatly reduce the wages of the drivers. There is no hourly rate. You get paid per delivery bid.

Most of the items I order from Walmart are available via same day shipping OR delivery. Same day shipping also gets delivered by some person in their personal car just like delivery, but no tip is asked for on shipping. Unless I absolutely need it now and same-day shipping is not an option is the only time I use delivery + tip.

Also, there is no order minimum with same-day shipping so I can buy something for $5 and the final cost is $5.

Community Reviews

Walmart+ at $49 is mainly valued for free shipping and delivery, plus the included streaming choice of Paramount+ or Peacock and extras like Burger King discounts and gas savings. The membership can also be useful for same day grocery orders, InHome delivery, and occasional Walmart Cash or Amex stacking that can cut the effective cost further. The main cautions are that renewal and retention offers are inconsistent, some deals require canceling first or using the website, and delivery or refund experiences can be messy. A strong value if the included perks match how you shop and stream.

I believe you can also buy gas at Sams Clubs. Might be without the gas discount on top.

Does anyone know for sure?

If you don't care about the Walmart side of this and just want cheap Paramount+, the Sportsline deal is much better: $40 for a year of sportsline and Ad Free Paramount+ with Showtime

Yes, exactly. Can use, but no 10¢ off/gallon discount there.

This does not work for everyone. For me, this worked last year. Not this year

Dont forget, that you can choose either Parent mount or Peacon . Doing the sports deal for parentmount and this wm+ deal with the peacon might be as good as it gets this year.

If you sign up ahead of time for the Walmart OnePay credit card, you get 5% back when you use it to pay for Walmart Plus. That's another benefit of Walmart Plus: your OnePay rewards go from 3% off Walmart purchases to 5% off. After doing the math, I'm actually saving money by signing up for Walmart Plus over the course of a year.

Wouldn't you have to move to a different physical address as well, or do they not care about that?

In ways, it's better than Amazon Prime. I have until 11:00 a.m. each day to have same day delivery without a minimum purchase. Sure, the selection isn't the full store, but it's growing daily. You can order a candy bar, or a soda, or toiletries.

As a long time Walmart+ member, we have been able to maximize their benefits. If you want to pay the low $49 each year, a week or so before your membership renews, log in to your account and cancel your membership. They will lure you back with a $49 membership. Give it a try. It has worked for me in the past. Enjoy!
