FYI you can expose these to home assistant via the Alexa integration and check the box to expose Amazon devices.

What's the difference between this and the regular Amazon Smart Plug (without the word "Basics")?

Per Google AI:
The main difference is that the Amazon Smart Plug is a single, slightly larger unit while the Amazon Basics Smart Plug is generally a smaller, more compact, and cheaper option, often sold in multi-packs. Both work exclusively with Alexa, connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and have a similar function of controlling plugged-in devices, but the Basics version has a lower wattage limit, 1500 vs 1800 watt.
With Wemo going out of business, I need to replace a bunch, which I'm using it for small room heaters for kids at night I may have to go with non-basic or TP-Link

The more expensive non-"Basic" plug can be operated directly through an Alexa DEVICE like an Echo Dot via voice command, whereas this one you have to use the Alexa app on your phone or tablet.

Are these better than Kasa? I use Alexa as my primary app.
