The main difference is that the Amazon Smart Plug is a single, slightly larger unit while the Amazon Basics Smart Plug is generally a smaller, more compact, and cheaper option, often sold in multi-packs. Both work exclusively with Alexa, connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and have a similar function of controlling plugged-in devices, but the Basics version has a lower wattage limit, 1500 vs 1800 watt.
With Wemo going out of business, I need to replace a bunch, which I'm using it for small room heaters for kids at night I may have to go with non-basic or TP-Link
