Yup. I paid $450 at MC when it was released and bought a Crucial EX400U 1TB for $100. It seems like it runs at TB4 speeds. Only strange glitch I've run into with the Mac Mini is that using certain TB4 ports on the back cause the Wi-Fi to stop working. It's apparently a known issue. Interference maybe?
I'm using a cheap enclosure with a 1TB Crutial MX500 in it. No problems.

This deal from microcenter, isn't this price also accessible thru apple's EDU program? I've read they (apple) do not verify if its truly an .edu email. I have a Gift card from apple and was hoping to be able to use that there.

thanks

Picked one up from BestBuy, as they were willing to do a price match, although they're going to have to do it retroactively.
In other words, I had to pay the full price on their website ($500.00), and they're going to refund my card within 72 hours for like $53.

Is it worth paying an additional $50 for a 2-year warranty at Costco?

same, that's because the system takes lowest $499 for it, it wouldn't allow them to adjust it lower than that, but a credit refund is a different path

quick question guys, I traded in my macbook air M3 for $550 and bought this after tax for $500 at best buy, was it a good move? Now I lose the ability to use a computer remotely..... so now, is it worth it to spend another $800 for an ipad pro to pair with "remotely control" the mac mini? i currently have ipad air 5th M1 chip, but i want a 13 inch ipad pro. Any idea or opinion will help me decide. Thank you guys
