Deal Price Not Shown in Title or Description

I noticed two desktop PC deals today which did not have a price shown neither in the title nor the desription. The email alert didn't have the price either. I sent a Mod Alert about one of the deals, and the mod's response suggested that it may be related to the Classic vs. Redesign view.

The price is a critical piece of information which should be easily visible in any view (including email alerts). Just bringing this up in case the SD team may not be aware of this glitch.

Hi there, thanks for the heads up. We agree that seeing the price in the title is an important piece of information and there are steps the devs have taken to facilitate this, but we are somewhat beholden to the individual posters.

I noticed they are both best buy deals. I'm not sure which version of the site they are using but there is a known issue with the posting form in redesign for bestbuy links where it doesn't prefill information like it does for links from other sites. As such for people used to posting from the newer version of the site I think it's probably easier to forget to include that info if posting BB deals right now because I think it's usually populated automatically from the url, so a poster would have to proactively remove it.

The first poster is a frequent poster and they typically do include it in the title (not just the price field), so it probably was an oversight.

The second poster is not a frequent one, and even though there is an example on the posting form (in redesign) there isn't in classic so it's likely it just didn't occur to them. As of the time of this post that one has gone fp and the deal editors did include it in their title so it should show in more places now, but we understand the frustration of getting a deal alert with no price.

The good news is that while I don't have an eta, the bug on the redesign posting form should get fixed at some point so you should see this behavior less frequently.

I was worried it may be a yet undiscovered bug. That's why I reported it. Thank you for working on it.
