Equivalent to Visible+ is Total 5G+, which you can get for $30/month on BYOD.

T-Mobile performs poorly on QCI7 (Mint and every other T-Mobile MVNO) when it's overcrowded, especially in places like Costco or a stadium. However, T-Mobile has the best raw download speeds when it's not congested. One reason for such performance is that almost all name-brand T-Mobile's own plans run on QCI6, as does Google Fi. So, every T-Mobile MVNO will have a bad time (except Google Fi) when congested.

Only a select few Verizon postpaid plans run on QCI7. All other MVNOs (Visible+, Visible+ Pro, Total 5G, 5G+, Spectrum) and Verizon Wireless run on QCI8. Then, at QCI9, all other deprioritized plans, like Visible Base, Total Base, and select US Mobile Warp, are found.

Just port your number to google voice so you keep your current number. Then sign up as a new customer and just forward from that new number to your number in gv and your good. Your able to skip around and get the best deals all the time. Just have to change your esim/sim and forward your new number each time.

My $180 plan is up in 7 days and I called CS for account number and PIN code. Told them I was switching to US Mobile and they offered the same $180 deal for 12 months. YMMV

Unlimited data, but you can only use 35gb. Lol. Talk about deceptive marketing

In the same situation, happy with service (not perfect, had terrible signal during the recent California rain/floods to where I assume they're throttling mint customers to prioritize others), but would have happily kept service at $180 (or a bit higher) per year, but the jump to $360 was more than I'd want to do. Found out Spectrum is giving their customers a free year of service, so I decided to port out to them.

If mint would have offered the $180 renewal I would have just stayed with them to make it easy

It's 50gb not 35gb. Not throttled just deprioritized. Most people won't notice much difference.

How does the $19/mo Visible plan compare to the unlimited Mint plan? I'm on the Mint now, considering the $19/mo Visible plan since the renewal on the Mint is not feasible.

So I learned the hard way to read before you buy. Switched a line from T-Mobile to Mint and saved quite a bit of money but took a cruise to Ensenada and found out that Mint only allows roaming in Canada and not both Canada and Mexico. Luckily I had another line with US Mobile (same T-Mobile) that allowed roaming in Mexico. Still love the service but make sure to read all of the fine print.

So for two lines it would be $360/year for 12 months, and then increase to $720/year afterwards (assuming the non-discounted price stays the same and/or you can't lock in a new deal)?

I bought this deal. Mint is a great value and has great coverage in SoCal.

Deals for existing customers not the norm across prepaid carriers. Switch over to new customer US Mobile or Visible deal when the time comes.

To be considered a new customer with MINT your # must be away for 3 months.
