I bought one of these for my kids to test out as our first "commutable" scooter. Y'know something they can ride to and from high school on. And it's been great. My daughter who weighs 135lbs can go up the hill leading to her high school and she said she's going 9 mph up the hill. For me at 185 lbs it got down to 3 mph going up that hill. The lack of front suspension sucks but it's cheap AF and you get what you pay for. This is a great beginner scooter. Note the Ladped scooters are not UL certified. The charger says it is UL certified, but the scooter is a potential fire risk. There is also an upgraded model that has an active suspension if you're looking for that it's called the LPMAX.

would love to know, too. es80 seems to have a metal rear wheel cover - definitely an upgrade over the LP60 that I have. curious if there is a ways to get a similar spec'ed scooter with shock absorber for a similar price.
