These are the same price purchased separately from Newegg ($600 and $70) plus you can save an extra $15 with their gift card deal

Like most combo deals this is terrible.
$580 to buy the same GPU at Microcenter [microcenter.com]
Leaves $90 pick from a number of better power supplys
For example the Montech Century II 850W [newegg.com]

The whole point of combo deals is to either sell additional product or dump hard to sell product.
This would need to be alot cheaper to move that shitty PSU.
Imagine the PSU crapping out in a few months and Newegg wants you to return both combo peices for a refund but by then tarrifs or some shit has raised the price to rebuy the GPU.

You honestly get better value with less hassle buying open box from Best Buy/Microcenter/Woot than dealing with Newegg combo shenanigans. I am not suggesting you do that just thats it's the lesser shit sandwich.

Having owned a few modular power supplies I just don't get the hype with them. I'm still tucking away tons of extra cable as it is. I have to use cable extensions to get to my components anyways if I care about looks.

A mini PC with a dock GPU needs minimal wires.

So a .0000001% use case? For those people they should already expect to fork out extra cash for a modular PSU. For the majority of PC's that are inside an ATX case with plenty of room, spending extra for a modular PSU seems more like a frivolous want than a need.

I agree; I would rather have standard PSUs for a lower price, but most of the quality PSUs are modular only now. Manufacturers just want to sell more expensive modular PSUs for higher margin.
