Just got wind of this for Tapo. Pretty surprising.

Tapo bitrate throttling affects SD card recordings because the camera uses a single shared encoded stream for all outputs.
Wyze V4 keeps SD recordings at full resolution because they separate the SD path from the live-stream/cloud path inside firmware.
