Get this if you have the space. According to multiple reliable sources (Rtings.com), the 83" version of the B4 has the same panel and processor (Alpha 9 Gen 7) as the C4, although it is not as bright. That won't matter unless you are in a bright room with a lot of windows. Despite what the main image says, this panel is capable of 144Hz refresh rate.

Thanks a lot for sharing this deal! I was able to order it for 94401. Haven't seen a good deal on an 83" B4 anywhere for some time. This will be my first OLED

Community Reviews

The 83 inch LG B4 comes across as a huge OLED bargain, with picture quality often described as essentially C4 level for far less money. It is praised for strong gaming support, including 144 hertz refresh and DTS audio, and the size jump makes it especially compelling for large rooms or viewing from around 10 feet. The main caution is brightness, which matters most in very bright, window filled spaces or when mounted high over a fireplace. A strong value pick if you want a big OLED without paying C4 prices.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes, $1500 is repeatedly called a no-brainer for an 83-inch OLED, especially since it was around $1900 in August and similar 83-inch B4 deals were hard to find. Several buyers chose it over cheaper non-OLED or smaller alternatives because of the size and panel quality.

  • The 83" B4 is noticeably dimmer than the C4/B5, so brightness matters most in bright rooms with lots of windows. It should be fine in darker spaces like basements or rooms where you control the lighting, and several owners report no brightness problems even with gaming and menu screens.

  • The 83" B4 is described as essentially a C4 with a slightly dimmer panel, and it is preferred over the B5 by several buyers. The B4 is also noted to keep DTS audio, while the B5 is said to have a worse screen and processor.

  • Yes, the 83" B4 is capable of 144Hz refresh rate despite the main image. It also performs well with an Xbox Series X, making it a strong choice for large-screen gaming.

  • Yes. The Costco app showed delivery dates, and setup is listed at $30, which appears to cover unboxing and placing it on the stand. That can be easier than hauling a huge 83-inch TV home and unboxing it yourself.

Got this for about $1700 a few months back and am really liking it. Looks great in our basement. We do have full control of all lighting which may help for reflections. No complaints !

I just checked my app and it says delivery by November 14. Why worry about it being in the store when it's a better deal to have them deliver it. Setup is $30, which I assume is unboxing and putting onto your stand. To me, that's a way better situation than having it in store where you then have to haul it, carry it inside and unbox it and set it up.

That will be much too high. In that case I'd say having the best picture quality isn't key in your setup. Bigger is likely better, though not as bright if the room is very bright.

Based on what I read, B4 might not be bright enough for my livingroom. ok one last question, they also have last year model Samsung s90d available same price. so which one would you pick LG 77 inch C4 or Samsung S90d 77inch? thanks
