I own this flashlight, and I like it. I believe I purchased mine directly from Sofirn.
My main critique is that while the **build quality is very good, it results in significant weight.** If I could change one thing, I would suggest using a lighter, more fragile material, as items strapped to a head typically do not require such extreme durability. This change would necessitate better heat dissipation, likely through additional cooling fins, a trade-off I would accept.
My first light was the HS41, which uses a larger battery and is heavier. Wearing it on my hard hat all night resulted in noticeable strain from the weight. This model mitigates that issue by utilizing a slightly smaller battery.
It would be an excellent enhancement if it featured separate **rotational knobs** for both brightness and light selection. Outside of that, I appreciate the design. Ideally, the existing switches would be dedicated solely to power and programmable presets.
Regarding thermals, I think there should be a small **air gap behind the LED** instead of using the entire flashlight body as the primary heat sink, but I understand these are all design trade-offs.
If I had to grab one light to go out, say, trick-or-treating, I'd put this in my pocket. It provided the necessary light whenever we needed to address the fact that the costume my three-year-old was wearing kept causing her to trip.
Lastly I should mention I've only used the hands-free sensor one time trying it out. I find the feature a waste of space, the rest of the light is fine.

I have near fifty orders in with Ali and have not had a problem one. I can not say the same for my last a fifty Amazon orders.
I would be a fool to pay $55 to Amazon versus the $21 here for the same thing. That goes against the whole nature of a deal site. If you are advising people to pay twice the price for the same thing I have to assume you are joking or are pulling our leg.
If shopping trauma has hurt you in some bad way their must be some support group for you somewhere but crapping on a good deal that someone took the time to post is not the place for you to get your bad feelings out.
You do not "think" you "speculate" or "panic", and reach for a worst case scenario. Worse and where it verges in to wrong to others you hurriedly share it like it is reality which can make others take your statement as fact. You kind of just gossip based on conclusions in your own head.
I "know" that you can find other cords to charge and life is not all bad.
Hint: Study your own psychology and the way you to think about and look at the world. You can get around the kind of mental obstacles you are setting yourself up for. Thinking like that can be debilitating as it has you immediately throwing your hands in frustration or a sense of victimhood.

You did learn from the community that it is a standard USB-C and yet now still try to misinform the community you say you love. I took the time to explain that in detail and now you appear mad at me and to be refusing the knowledge I share that should alleviate your concern and worry so you can feel cheated by the community.
You seem to be saying the community tricked you in some way but that is only due to your lack of knowledge about varying USB cords. When the community explains the misunderstanding you have you react with more feeling of resentment against it. I'd advise you to consider and figure out what are you trying to bring to the community.
For the sake of community I will try again.
The problem lies with the other cord that you are trying to use. There are many USB-C cord makers that have no standardization for housing size. Read reviews of cords on Amazon and you will see that it a regular occurrence. I have had the same problem with Apple, Samsung, Google and Amazon products. I have had the same problems of older generations of USB.
None of them use a non standard special USB-C but some cords you may already have, get or buy may not fit due to housing size. The ones that come with them always do. Cords sent with the product usually have a tight fit at cord housing to device housing I assume to help with retention and debris or water infiltration.
What you think a bug might just be a carefully designed feature. Think a bit and give up the emotion. How would you make a USB port if you were making someting IPX rated and prone to debris infiltration. Would you make the housing size large so users can have the ability to use some cheap gas station cables knowing that the gaps can collect water or dirt?
The fix is easy try a different cord or use the USB cord that Sofirn sent you yet again there are many others that will fit and the majority of cords I have do. Worse case scenario I have a few times shaved down the heavy housing on some cheap USB cords. Or alternatively take the light with you when buying cord if you lose or break yours.
Some of the cheap ones that you see at gas stations and such are more prone to it. It is not a matter of special cords they are all USB-C. it is just that some manufacturers of USB cords make the housings bigger than others. Calm down, check when purchasing and you will be fine. We all run into a hundred things a day like this, it will be alright.
I am right about the cords and also psychology. I did not say you are low IQ. In fact high IQ people can the worst with letting their psychological tendencies overwhelm them. I warn as I recognize a kindred spirit when I see one and lived much of my life just like you are now focusing on feelings and always the bad ones. All I could see were problems while emotions run rampant while I ignoring easy solutions and trying to problem solve. I can on my bad days fall right back in but finally got some slight glimmer of how bad, debilitating and crippling it can be. Instead of some joy in having very nice light you have yourself in dark, angry and feeling victimized spot and making allegations against other that you only imagine did you wrong.
I did not bring in the psychology you brought it in with your comments. You did not "think" investigate, research or try to figure anything out you just felt wronged immediately. You could have asked before jumping to false conclusions and sharing them like they were truth. You basically gossip.
I do get a bit short and to the point and may have offended but I see way to much of the emotion based gossip around here and it is very bad for the community.
I give you facts and a easy solution that can help and you feel wronged again. I do warn those tendencies when practiced over years and years over small things will have you mind set up a certain way and it can be very bad for yourself and others. I offer a solution as a courtesy and favor like I do with the light. You think me your enemy but I try to help.
Think for a second, say someone wanted you on team to do a job, if you are the person that always see major problems over minor annoyances when easy fixes are at hand do you think you would get hired on? If we can not handle the emotion over a flashlight how are we to handle it when something big and bad really does happen You get where I am coming from? Is that a way to tackle life?
