I own this flashlight, and I like it. I believe I purchased mine directly from Sofirn.
My main critique is that while the **build quality is very good, it results in significant weight.** If I could change one thing, I would suggest using a lighter, more fragile material, as items strapped to a head typically do not require such extreme durability. This change would necessitate better heat dissipation, likely through additional cooling fins, a trade-off I would accept.
My first light was the HS41, which uses a larger battery and is heavier. Wearing it on my hard hat all night resulted in noticeable strain from the weight. This model mitigates that issue by utilizing a slightly smaller battery.
It would be an excellent enhancement if it featured separate **rotational knobs** for both brightness and light selection. Outside of that, I appreciate the design. Ideally, the existing switches would be dedicated solely to power and programmable presets.
Regarding thermals, I think there should be a small **air gap behind the LED** instead of using the entire flashlight body as the primary heat sink, but I understand these are all design trade-offs.
If I had to grab one light to go out, say, trick-or-treating, I'd put this in my pocket. It provided the necessary light whenever we needed to address the fact that the costume my three-year-old was wearing kept causing her to trip.
Lastly I should mention I've only used the hands-free sensor one time trying it out. I find the feature a waste of space, the rest of the light is fine.

I don't ask for glowing reviews just less drama over everyday minor annoyances and occurrences and more facts. I think of the poor wives of the user base here that gets home late from the hairdresser or grocery to find her rman home angry and questioning based on made up scenarios of evil deeds going on.
It is nice that you share your facts but I do think you bring to much drama and read to much into a sample size of one order. From what you say it sound like the Sofirn Store is trying to make it right, where is the big wrong or trauma? I also think you have to separate out and realize how Ali works they are just the checkout for multiple merchants. If you have problem with the light or shipping that is on Sofirn or wheoeverthe mechat is. Not getting code in can also be caused by the merchant or checkout service and I assume that maybe algorithms that limit use are involved. That happens on Amazon as well with many of the heavy discounted by coupon China items
I have about sixty orders in with Ali and the majority the Sofirn Store and have not tested every single light but all orders came fine and I am often shocked by how fast they come. Not getting coupons happens on Amazon and I have had multiple problems on my last 60 Amazon orders..
Why would I pay twice as much on Amazon when they also drop the ball on orders coupons and delivery. I do not shun them I go back any when I can get value and would be a fool to do otherwise. I despise Apple as a company but if can get value I am there.
I don't shop like I am going on cruise and want to be treated as royalty I shop as I am greedy for value gained. The Apple crowd can pay them prices for status.
If I used you criteria to judge and choose not to shopI could not use any retailer I know of.
There is no trauma level with any shopping. Trauma is when your kid gets cancer or you lose a leg. Me waiting expectantly for packages or a refund for an order not got is a far cry from that.
I once bought a car for $28,000 and it was complete lemon that I had to sell at loss within two year as I could b not but up with the annoyance of the wife breaking down and me having to run to help but I never really trashed the dealer and would use them again if I could gain value.
If you do want to talk about the most close to trauma I remember with shopping. Back in the day and it is weird as most American picture some golden age.
My mother was almost arrested for trying to take a pair of tennis shoes that failed the day of purchase. I had begged for them and she saved up a couple months at a time when money was hard to come by and I will be damn if the soles did not fall of on day one. Back then every receipt had, No Refund, No Return and No Exchange writ large on them.
My mother tried but the manager of that charming American hometown icon G.C.Murphy's where we would regularly eat grilled cheese and drink Cokes for lunch called the cops when she refused to leave without a refund.
I say I was traumatized but it was all kind of exciting but I am sure it stung with the monthly finances for her. She was fiery lady and did get escalated in store but all to no avail. Even with her feisty nature and ability to hold a grudge I did notice she had the sense to continue to shop there as they did have he best prices and values we could afford. What were we supposed to do go pay the prices and take food off the table at Macys where we heard they treated you like queen but you paid five times a much for basically the same things.
How can I be traumatized in a Golden Age so friendly and easy for the consumer? We get to sit on our @ss and click some buttons and things magically appear at the door. If they don't you click another button and get you money back. Even if you do run into a real cahet you click button at a CC website and the money comes back. We in general have 40% more leisure time than we did not long ago. We all should be celebrating and happy.
