This seems like a fantastic deal... Any thoughts from the community?

I'm wondering the same thing, and does it have lidar built in so that it doesn't throw itself down stairs?

This says it does have LIDAR navigation.

Only 4000 suction, so much less than the newer models. Of course, far less expensive, too.

I suppose it would do well enough on hard floors and manage a rug.

I've had this robot for a couple years. Works great for the most part and does have lidar (and I think cameras?) for navigating around. It literally never gets stuck for reasons other than eating a sock, for example.
You can even install the tricut brush designed for newer Dreame vacuums in it. That makes it a little loud, but it allows it to cut up hair rather than it forming a thick coat around the brush.
Only caveat: this robot has an issue where it corrupts its own memory occasionally and completely erases itself, requiring fresh setup again. Both of the ones I own have done that once or twice in the 3 years I've owned them.
Another plus: you can install Valetudo on it, which "declouds" the vacuum if you're weary of it phoning home to China.
