note about Dyson: no returns and no order cancellations of refurbished items. Warranty only if you get something broken. The cash back sites and plugins I've seen have as much as $250 off $250, but refurb excluded.

For an appliance as prone to damage as a Dyson vacuum cleaner, a 6-month warranty is undoubtedly insufficient. Go and check out the ones on eBay that come with a 2-year Allstate warranty.

Just a follow-up from emailing Dyson about the refurbished unit...
"When you purchase Certified Refurbished items on eBay, they come with a two‑year warranty provided by SquareTrade, an Allstate company. This warranty begins from the date of purchase, ensuring that you are protected right from the start. In addition, Dyson provides a six‑month manufacturer warranty, and the remaining coverage is provided by Allstate through SquareTrade"
