Seems like this (or the 6) is a nice TV for the money. Great for a secondary location where you don't need the very best. Plus this is available as a 50", unlike the QM6K if you have a tight space.

I got the 55" for $330 in September. Also, I remember reading that there is a difference in the speakers and number of dimming zones in the 50" vs. 55", although I can't find a source for this now.

I haven't experienced the difference myself but yes the 55" and above has a 2.1 speaker system while the 50" apparently does not (https://www.tcl.com/us/en/product...-tv-50qm5k)

50 inch does not have an the features of the larger sizes unfortunately.

Thanks to the OP for posting! Just stopped by my local BB and picked up the 50QM5K (50", for the den) at their newly reduced price. Best Buy just lowered the price $50, to $279.99 as a "Black Friday Deal". Can't imagine it getting any lower any time soon.
