So confused neither option is recommended? I'm new to lawn mowers
it's a fine lawnmower but these are not great prices to buy and sit in the garage until spring (i'm in the northeast). The Kobalt line gives a 5 year warranty (which you'll likely need and they give you a new mower if the old one breaks) on mowers and 3 years on battery (again, depending on usage, these batteries wear out). Your best bet is to find a mower on clearance in store (but it may be too late this year).
I previously owned the 80v and it was great for the first 3 years or so and then needed to be replaced (under warranty). There is a bunch more plastic parts on the 2x24v so I'm expecting this one not to last as long as the 80v (but again, Lowes/Kobalt has a generous warranty program). Lowe's does not usually carry the 80v in store.

Thanks for the reply. This helped. What's another recommended brand
Picked this set up for $200 a couple months ago. Was worth it to me for the 6.0 battery alone but I had a previous gen of the push mower that I replaced with this one. I also have the 40v max blower, weed Wacker and 300w inverter.

really depends on size of your yard. There is a 60v 21 inch Toro Stripe w/ 7.5 ah battery on sale right now at Lowes for $359 (better brand name but reviews aren't great) and Kobalt
80-volt, 25-in Self Propelled Battery Walk Mower with (2) 4 Ah Battery for $499 (with 5 year warranty on mower and 3 years on batteries).
Also, plenty of Greenworks sales going on right now (I believe warranty not as good as Kobalt).
