My kids use a PC for homework, web surfing, Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft. Any other games they play on the XBox or PS5. Is this a good PC for those uses? The price is definitely attractive.

This should be a very fine PC for that. The MSI Aegis tend to get slightly better component reviews than than most IBuyPower and others. Also most desktops w/o a dGPU are running close to $500 so it's only about $150 for the dGPU. It's not the most powerful dGPU but it comes with a 650w Gold PSU, so in the future when you want to upgrade to a better graphics card, it should be a somewhat simple upgrade.

Yeah it will be fine. I actually would say to avoid this PC for gaming unless its for the Kids or like a 2nd pc. its perfect for kids.

But tell the kids that its not the greatest gaming PC, its a starter gaming PC. (100% fine for the games they play, better then console) tell them it could be better. and say if they want to make it better they have to help you and tell you what you need to do to upgrade it in the future you'll help them do it as a birthday present or something. it gets them to teach them selves about computers very early giving them a foundation of technology most kids wont have. (Help them not get scammed in the future, save money, repair things and maybe even a future career path). it will be expensive so a Xmas or birthday thing lol

Ram (1 x 16gb stick) and GPU (9060 xt 16gb '$350' for 1080p monitor) are the things you'd want to upgrade. and the GPU needs to work within the constraints of the Power Supply and ensuring the GPU will fit in the physical case. for ram you can just order the same model that comes with the PC. just wait more then a year from now lol ram prices are going crazy right now lol (Demand from AI data centers, wont last forever) and you can google more things how to do it. those upgrades are pretty easy especially adding ram. ram should cost about $50 to 60 after prices stabilize
