Thanks for the post. Considered getting the refurbished installation driver, but at $100 it's not much less than new with HD hack.

I picked up the wire stripper. Also found a 5% rebate that stacks…..

Understandable, but keep in mind that their online ordering system is cracking down on hacking attempts. Return one without the other and you run the risk of getting flagged.

Do you have even a single, solitary source for this other than "trust me bro"? Come on. Over in the Milwaukee tools sub we casually return billions of dollars worth of equipment, trillions even, every single day as part of these "hacks" and the Milwaukee tools official account is like "cool thanks for the money and free PR, we love it."The only credence here is that many retailers use software to detect excessive returners and ban those users specifically which isn't even remotely related to Milwaukee. And in that case I would suggest making a new account.

True I got flagged and can't order anything, although I only did it once.

Our local HD wont accept returns of any "buy this get this for free" deals unless you return the whole bundle. Returns are manager discretion apparently, and our store wants nothing to do with it.

I've heard the arguments a few times when picking up orders. They say if you really want to return the one product then you should have no problem returning both and buying the one you wanted to keep on its own. If you point out you get the prorated price if you only return one then they ask if you are purposefully abusing the system and refuse the refund.

Its not brand specific.

'billions, trillions even' worth returned every single day... yeah, sure, dude.. that makes you sound real credible.

I am not sure that was HD's intention of blocking those "hack". Because HD can't officially put those Milwaukee tools on sale due to the exclusive contract, this is how HD does sales, Milwaukee knows it too. It is super easy to block such "hack" from system level, maybe a couple of days IT work, and some days for deployment.

code wouldn't work for me for the right angle die grinder. still cheaper than home depot, but barely.
