100% agree, though we usually drain the liquid off, so some of the salt and some of the sugar go with that. We use it in soups, for example. We cook with low-salt and low-sugar ingredients, so it might work if this is part of another dish. Regardless, for this price, I ordered 10 and we'll test. If we try the first can and don't like it, I am not out a ton of $, and the cans can go to the canned food drive at my kid's school. After the discounts and S&S, I got it down to $0.38 a can.

I mean more power to you if you can stomach it, but I really struggled with the taste on these. Pretty rough. I've tried. I end up going with the thawed peas and carrots that were previously frozen. Or if I'm making a batch of rice for fried rice, I'll dehydrate bags of peas and carrots to keep on hand and then throw the dehydrated ones into the rice cooker. By the time the rice is done, the veg is nicely rehydrated without getting that odd soft stanky thing from canned veg.
