Who AliExpress? I bought an LP80 from AliExpress and it arrived just fine. But I also bought a electric bike on there and it never arrived and they refunded my money. It's hit and miss. But the LP80 is just the longer range version of the LP60. If you're looking for a first timer electric scooter it works great! My daughter just rode ours home from the high school and I watched her on Life360 going 18mph down the road. It's faster for her to ride that home than me firing up the truck and driving up there and driving back. Kids are spoiled these days, back in the 90's it was all about mountain bikes or skateboards. Now these electric scooters or electric bikes are so fast it's like having a car.

I'm leery about this retailer as I've had a bad experience in the past.

I got one of these for $108. It arrived fine and works fine so far. Been 2-3 weeks. It's a basic scooter (no shock absorbers) but decently powerful for the price.

I've never owned an electric scooter. Do these have a twist throttle?

I have this LP60 and LP80. The LP60 has small (tiny) battery but it's super light, my 6 year old loves it. I'm 275 pounds and got the LP80 (same but twice the battery) and rode it around Philadelphia for work with no problems. Some hills it slows down a bit but I'm big. Any normal size human will enjoy these just fine

I know these aren't suppose to hold 2 people but anybody try? I am 180lbs and my 5yo is 40 lbs. It would be short distance. Around the block or a little more.

looks good for the price. but I"m dead scared of the battery getting on fire while charging. at this price. I can imagine the quality of the battery and the QC on the build.

I would want to cross a bridge daily, which of course adds steepness. Could this handle that? I'm 240lbs?

No, it's like a paddle that you push down

I weigh 220 (same as you and your kids combined weight) and I've ridden my kids LP80 all around the neighborhood no problem. It's not great on hills (will come to a stop on steeper ones) at that weight, but you can always kick with your leg. I went for the more powerful and larger Aovopro ESMAX which will get you around much more capably with that combined weight.

Depends how steep it is, but I would say at 240 it wouldn't be good. We live on a hill that isn't super steep and riding my kids LP80 (same as an LP60 but with 2x the battery capacity) it will basically come to a stop. You want a bigger and more powerful scooter at that weight. 500W minimum. LPMAX would be recommended as the next step up or I have the ESMAX from Aovopro which is same as LPMAX but with air tires which really helps with ride quality.

Interesting, seems pretty cheap. As a baseline from a performance perspective, it's comparable to the Lime scooters on paper. Smaller battery and half the weight though.
