Personally I go in-store to checkout the TV for condition and screen on time. They happily plug it in and will show you prior to paying. Saves you time if you see anything wrong.

I have had multiple bad experiences with open box tvs at best buy so i completely agree with your comment on going in store to check them before buying. Also almost everytime in-store price is cheaper than what we see online.

Best Buy quality check on open box excellent condition is ZERO. I have had two experiences now where an Open box excellent condition TV, had pixelation and picture skipping issues. The much touted Geek Squad is overrated, it's a bunch of tired geeks who don't like talking to people.

Dead pixels. Oled cells decades overtime regardless of hours on. Dead pixels will most likely show first near the edge of the TV and work it's way towards the center.

There are YouTube videos and websites tht will flash different colors onto the screens for you to easily detect dead pixels.

Dead pixel are very common in OLED TV because it's the nature of Oled.

Be warn once you see dead pixels, your enjoyment of your oled tv will be greatly affected. You might not want to do a dead pixel test.
