I got the phone from Verizon and activated it. I tried to pay off the device, but could not succeed. I was running out of time and didn't want to go beyond 3 days and incur activation fees. So, went ahead and cancelled the line.
Now the line is cancelled.
What next?
bump up. What is next?

You are supposed to payoff then cancel so I'm not sure how you were able to cancel but I think they are going to send you a final bill with payoff amount.

We have to provide them name, email id, driver license and social security. I'm thinking they use SS for credit checks. How many maximum phones you can buy? does it go by email or DL or social? and if they sell you 4 phones, you should be getting 4X500 GCs correct? I dont want to get into a situation again where you buy the phone and there is No GC and returning is a nightmare. If they have a system where if you exceeded the number of phones then I would prefer they deny the purchase upfront, that is not as bad as having to deal with it later on.

I was able to request unlocking from AT&T. only issue is it takes more than 3 total days as they can request unlock after 48hrs of payoff time and unlock through CS takes 24hrs as per them
Yeah that's what they told me

Did the rep give you a hard time for trying to buyoff early and cancelling?
What did you say as your reason?
Thx!
Sorry I'm just seeing your msg.
No there wasn't a hard time. I simply said I wanted to pay off my phone and they didnt ask for a reason (unlike the next call when I cancelled the line)

I received the phone from At&t, I paid off the balance today and did sim swap right afterwards. Can I wait for a day to submit the unlock request? Someone mentioned that I should wait 24 hrs for sim swap but I did it right away. Is it fine or will it cause any issues?

I just don't understand why they would update the other page and leave conflicting information about the gift card on their product page?

The point is that the text is linked directly from the iPhone 16 Pro page. Regardless of whether it is also on other general item product pages.

Hopefully someone can confirm that they were able to actually get a gift card if they ordered this since Monday.

Based on social, it's a soft credit pull. It's possible you might not able to do this after returning as Verizon puts something on their system so you might need to call them to clear it if you can't checkout. I have not seen similar problem with ATT
