I combined this deal with the $100 + $15 gift card deal for newegg. Best price I could find for this set of specs (1440p, 180hz, hdr 1400).

I tried this monitor and it honestly didn't look much different than my standard IPS LED. It's brighter, but the contrast is absolutely nothing like an OLED. It'd spend the extra $100-$120 on one of the 1440p OLEDs that are on sale this season.

What was the local dimming setting set to?

I don't remember. But I adjusted it as much as I could and side by side with my LG OLED the answer was clear which one was worth keeping.

Also, this felt very cheap and plasticy, I wasn't super impressed by the ergonomics.
