you can buy bronze plan - $35 on the last day from walmart.com and select Direct Top Up option and provide phone number.

Straight Talk has a "Reserve" system:

you can add a plan to your account before your current service ends. Straight Talk Extras+1
Plans you add to the Reserve are automatically applied on your Service End Date.

What Happens If You "Activate Now" Instead of Reserving

If you choose to not reserve but instead apply the new plan immediately, Straight Talk warns: you will lose any remaining days on your current plan.

Scenario ("$55 plan ends Dec 17, 2025; you want to add a $35 plan early for the second month")

If you add the $35 plan now and put it in Reserve, it will not start immediately. Instead, it will wait and begin on Dec 17, 2025, when your current $55 plan ends.
It won't overlap or "stack" service days unless you choose to activate the plan immediately (which is risky because you'll lose remaining days).

Have to agree with you, but it seems weird that people are getting so offended by us being honest about how bad WalMart is.

It's worth it for me to pay more money and not have to deal with the dumpster fire of Walmart CS. Happy for the people who got it to work though.
So I'm not the only one getting the feeling that anyone being offended by people talking about their common, negative Walmart experiences (like Spaceman6969 and others) is being paid by Walmart to help with their image?

I just bought the 16e 128GB for 292 with tax. That price included the first month of service for 55$ fee. Do I need to pay the same amount again for the second month? To get it unlocked ?

Yes, The best way is to call CS on the last day of the first month, ask for the cheapest plan, and go with that.

Never buy a plan a few days before the second month. Buy it on the day.

The reason people buy the second-month plan on the last day of the first month is because if they buy it early, they might not meet the 60-day unlock requirement.

I remember seeing a comment on a previous Total Wireless sale saying that because they bought the second-month plan early, the second month started before the end of the first month, and thus didn't meet the 60-day requirement.

Very good deal. Just bought it in store today with 254 + tax. Activated it at home smoothly without any issue. I just got a new number to make things easier.

$10 plan only through call center. I had $10 plan for my 2nd month of moto razor and it was unlocked after 60 days.
How did you get $10 for 2nd month? I called ST and they said the $10 is only for 7 days it will not be long enough to cover the 2nd month.

Does it give the Reserve option when trying to refill account with top up pin purchase from Walmart?

Reserve is Exactly what I did. Had a Straight Talk CSR do it over the phone. You have to do the Reserve if doing it now or wait until the day the account shows need to purchase a plan. Otherwise activate now will wipe out your current plan. Excellent post and 100% correct.

Went last night to 2 different Walmart's. The first one couldn't activate the phones after an hour of being there. The second one couldn't find the 7 they had in stock. Wasted 2 1/2 hours, ended up doing the verizon prepaid deal because im tired of searching for a deal. Gotta get the little dude a phone. The Walmart experience was brain numbing. I know why I never ever ever go there for anything except a quick grab and go item I need. Everything from the service, to the customers are really really rough.

Nah, Walmart would never pay people to perform labor for them unless absolutely forced

I will ONLY go to Walmart to grab a couple groceries or home essentials for this very reason.
