A low end android phone is way cheaper and offers way more functionality , however schools mandate these calculators (non smart). That is the reason prices are still high.

I can't believe this is not $30. It was $89 20 years ago and it is still $89 today not on sale.

From images sometimes it says Python version, sometimes it is not. Is this one Python version or not?

Beware, I believe these have a USB Type B female charging port. Good luck finding a cable. Bought one of these last year and whenever the battery is dead we're scrambling to locate that one and only cable we have that fit this port...

If youre planning on buying this as a gift to some of your nieces/nephews, just know, kids these days are now using chromebooks and if youre buying it for graphing feature, chromebooks have it better
Only TI is approved for grade school standardized testing in Texas and many other states.

Just remember, this is owned by Vanguard, BlackRock, and State Street. They paid Politian's to force use of these in school when there is no need.

TI monopoly.
Over the last 30 years, TI has invested heavily in teacher training with TI 84 calculators, that even today public school teachers insist their students use this vs cheaper alternatives.

Minimum wage was only $4 30 years ago, and $16 today. We can argue it's way cheaper today

Why is Blue python and Rose Gold is not? Is this why Blue sold out first?

If 70 is too much then go on ebay or craigslist, you can find near mint condition calculators very cheap. This all uses the same basic key functions since the 1990s going back to the TI82. Anything from TI83, 84 ect and all their variants will work like this one, they might graph slightly slower but who cares.
All the people saying get a laptop or cell phone that makes no sense you cant use that on the test and if you try to do everything by hand on the tests you would probably run out of time.
