I had a Fenix 5x for almost 5 years until the battery died recently. Damaged the internal pin contacts when trying to change the battery
It's hard to justify the paying double the price for the more recent Fenix 8/Pro.
Was going back and forth between the Epix 2 and Fenix 7X Pro. What finally did me in was the longer battery life. I do a lot of hiking, biking, running outdoor sports activities. Epix would annoy me having to charge so frequently, even if the display was fancier looking.
