I never used the eufy but have this. I was having a few questions but they released a firmware recently that improved the navigation a lot. It used to come back to rooms sometimes it has already done but now it just gets done and goes home. Leaves the floors looking nice.

I grabbed this yesterday during the lighting deal for $400! It's basically the X40 Ultra, a steal under $500 period!

I was on my phone when I typed the other comment so I kept it a bit short but

I bought ours because for years we had a robot (a deebot t8+) that couldn't do mapping well and when we had kids them leaving toys everywhere created a disaster for the robot. Plus it would forget it's maps constantly and was pretty terrible

This one is extremely good at mapping and has not once lost it's map. It also "generally" will recognize cables(or my daughter's necklaces) and just in general is pretty smart. Before the firmware update it would say.. clean my computer room but then it would like come back in there at the end at just sit there for a minute like it was pondering life then leave and maybe even come back again. After the firmware update though it's very good at analyzing the best path to take and doing it. The mop is also very good. The only issue I had was when it was initially and afterwords mapping it sometimes didn't identify a whole room as being "carpet" so it would have like a single spot that it would think it needed to mop. I've not removed the no mop zones since the new firmware update but my guess is that is fixed as well and I guess I might try that soon. Only thing you need to plan for is if you have people in our house with long hair plan on getting the "tri cut brush". It has little micro blades on the brush that cut the hair into pieces so it can properly vacuum the hair. This applies to pet hair as well. That brush I got a knock off of and it works very well. Also got knock off mop pads, bags, and side brush.(added another $50 ish) to the purchase. Lastly it has detergent it cleans the mop pads with. On the L40 Ultra IT DOES NOT inject it into the bot for mopping. So you need to remember that if you want detergent mopping and also find a knock off detergent that you can mix yourself if you don't want to pay their prices.

You can install Valetudo on these to remove them from the Cloud, which is nice. https://valetudo.cloud/
You have to have a special board to install it, but you can solder or buy on eBay somewhere.

I heard the knock off pads were trash and it's not worth buying?

Are you saying that you add a (knockoff) robot vacuum surface cleaning liquid directly into the clean water tank?

Some people do but I personally don't. I just do the mix into the detergent container thing.

The ones I got don't seem much different from new in box but guess I'll find out if they start falling apart or something. I got this big box of things that had like 2 extra rollers, bunch of side brushes, mop, bags, and filters for like $30

If anyone wants, I can sell mine for 300. I personally don't like it much. Personal choice. I won't say it's same for all. I have used roborock s7 max ultra V before this one. It's cleaning is much better compared to this one.
