LOL I make my own using 4 pounds of dry beans soak overnight, after making and adding can of diced tomatoes and some sauteed onions the entire thing weighs about 22 pounds so 22 cans worth.

That said, those 22 pounds only cost about $8 to make and are 10x better than this can stuff.

Plus you can control the sodium that way. this has 1,800mg of sodium per can.

It has to be more complicated than that...what other seasonings do you put in there.

Some cumin and chii powder and either cayenne pepper or black pepper. I do buy the spicy diced tomatoes.

I always buy my spices in bulk so they tend to be very cheap.

Also, the trick is after you mash it up and you do need to thin it some put in some milk not water, the milk makes it very creamy and good flavor. Doesn't take a lot for the 4 pounds of raw beans which again makes a MONSTER batch, only use maybe half cup of milk.

And I prefer to mash them so it isn't just mush like you get in the can, mine can be a tad chunky which makes it so much better especially in burritos, just like how chunky mashed potatoes are far superior to whipped.

And then you have 20lbs of them to use before they go bad. Not individually canned for when you are ready. That said, props to the efficiency; true SL'er 💪
