The catch of doing it that way is that you have to still be a WalMart+ member at the time of the future repair, and the $50 price is a temporary promo from the usual $98 per year. So you'd potentially spend hundreds of dollars to maintain your hazard coverage for the life of the tire.
They way I read it as long as you have it when you buy you're covered.
The warranty is tied to the tire, not your membership. But I do not have W+ so I'm going by what they have on their site.
"Limited to tire(s) purchased & installed at Walmart Auto Care Centers. Active Walmart+ membership required at time of purchase & installation."
"You must be an active trial or paid Walmart+ member when you purchase & have your tires installed at a Walmart Auto Care Center to receive the road hazard warranty. The warranty is tied to the purchase of the tire."
These are pretty quiet as long as you rotate them on time and keep the air pressure correct.

I dont see any deals for Tesla tires. Eagerly waiting for Model Y 255/45R19. let me know if anyone find deals on these tires
Best bang for the buck is the Kumho Solus TA91 EV at $170 each. Decent performance and made for EVs so they hold up better. Got a customer with a Tesla and had him get these tires and they have been happy so far.
Lifespan is just average but for the price they work well for an EV.
Any help at All: I need rims back to the original for 02 Mitsubishi Galant, 2.4L, ES? I want aluminum and stylish rims like my deceased brother put on but not the 215/35/18 size. To replace those tires is expensive. I'm told Walmart will not put on tires on non-Oem sizes, by policy.Where does one go to get good, non scamming rims?? I'm ok to spend 400-600(?) for a set and get a set of Goodyear tires from Walmart w warranty. VA located
Honestly a junkyard could be an option if you live near one

I like the TA51a's, put a set on my SiLs car. But they are a little more aggressive tread so you will lose some range and maybe a little less lifespan on the tire.
But they will work better in snow if thats a more important feature.
But you need to renew the membership every year to keep the lifetime warranty, right?

These got a 65k warranty as opposed to the 50k on the TA91
I ordered a set of these tires this morning, and purchased one month of Walmart plus in order to get the free road hazard warranty with installation. I am looking forward to replacing my current tires which are almost bald. I waited all year to find a deal on name brand tires.
Modern tires are like modern cars, both are not built to last. Older tires from Sumitomo and Kumho don't breakdown (cracks, sidewall deformation) after eight years. The V rated Reliants have similar tire construction as the Assurance line (thread 1 polyester+2 steel+1 polyamide, sidewall 1 polyester), minus the longer thread wear warranty. They don't break down until the 4th or 5th year. Avoid H rated Reliants (weak tire construction) and those that are made in Mexico (poor quality control).
No need to spend more money on long life tire if you don't drive more than 10K miles each year. New decent tires will always work better than +5 yr old tires. We get at least 45K miles on the V rated Reliants (Corolla on sale previous years ~$40-$45). Look for AA or AB rated tires with 600-700 threadwear rating for the best value.
Also check out America's tire for clearance sale on Sumitomo and Kumo Solus.
I have a set of Kumo's on an old Corvette, bought in 2002. No cracks or issues of any kind, just not grippy like new. Finally ordered some replacements a week ago…

For a regular car you could use that rating. But EVs can go through tires. So the ones made for EVs are rated for EVs while the others are a general rating.

You don't need "Tesla tires". I have an EV and the high efficiency tires they come with have terrible grip in rain and especially snow. Plus they cost a lot more. If you can live with lower mileage per charge, I'd avoid the "EV tires" tbh.
I bought a set of these last year for my 2018 Nissan Murano. I am very happy with them for the price. 80,000 mile tires that are quiet and smooth riding. They replaced the original Michelin tires that had tread left on them but this was too good of a deal not to buy. Just my opinion.

Also its included (no charge) if you have walmart+. Since wlamrt+ is $50 right now better to sign up for that and then buy the tires.
