I am in the market for a racing this year, (well last few year, been putting it off). Holding out for a bundle, as i have nothing. Was also looking at csl-dd, pxn, Simagic Alpha EVO, so many more choices than last BF. I guess i will jump on the first decent bundle i find, being new, i am not locked into any brand. I want to try a decent rig before I go all in, I might not even like it. Should be able to find a good starter setup around 1k, hopefully less. From my research, I am not interested in anything less than 8nm. I want to give my first try out on sim, the best chance to if i stick with it or not.

I did a writeup a while back on my own personal setup. I have since upgraded some components, but it was a really solid setup for the price. There are probably ways you could cut some corners to get to $1k (single monitor vs triples, less expensive seat, etc). I've been very happy with the frame for the price I paid. And the R9 was perfect for me. I have no desire to upgrade at the moment.
