Probably yes.

Model is listed in Walmart's page as LDC16251.

Dell has DC16251 with memory upgradeable, with no "L" in the model number, but have the same processor and touchscreen option (at least the same model year):

I like that it has 16:10 ratio. Backlit keyboard for that price is also not bad. You still have to upgrade the RAM to 16GB minimum.

Not sure if this Dell is a better value than the ASUS Vivobook they are selling for around $330 (if it's still available).

YMMV since it's showing sold out online and based on local inventory.

Purchased and Walmart overcharged me by $30 at $379. I caught it and called them and they refunded the difference but be careful.

Walmart lists the model as:

Model name
Dell 16 DC16251 Laptop

Searching for that model on the Dell website:
https://dl.dell.com/content/manua...uage=en-us

Shows the following memory configurations supported:

Memory configurations supported
● 8 GB: 1 x 8 GB, DDR5, 5200 MT/s, single-channel
● 16 GB: 2 x 8 GB, DDR5, 5200 MT/s, dual-channel
● 24 GB: 1 x 16 GB + 1 x 8 GB, DDR5, 5200 MT/s, dual-channel
● 32 GB: 2 x 16 GB, DDR5, 5200 MT/s, dual-channel

And later in the manual, it describes the procedure for changing the memory module (which requires removing the back panel), so certainly seems to support memory upgrades.

Seems like a solid deal - touchscreen 16:10 300 nits (Asus is 250 nits), USB-C power delivery and display port, DDR5 (Asus is DDR4), aluminum case (Asus is plastic), SD card reader (which the ASUS does not have), Linux support (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS)

Core 5 rather than 7, but hard to find a 7 at this price, especially with the above features.

Return window to Jan 31...
