JHS pedals have a great reputation and are rarely seen discounted.

i concur. JHS makes great pedals. iirc, the 3 series are the barebones line but still are excellent.

Most of their pedals are on sale on their website and other retailers. This is part of their Black Friday sale starting now.

Picked up an OD pedal. Not sure if I'll dig it or not but these seem pretty high quality and I don't want to spend "boutique" pedal prices. This is a price where it seems like you'll be able to get $50 back resale if you don't like it. So not too big a commitment.

The octave reverb sounds kind of interesting.

It's all JHS pedals at all retailers, not just the 3 series.

JHS pedals sound great - I got their harmonic trem 3 series a year or so ago and it was fantastic. It's also worth noting in terms of retailer choice that Musician's Friend gives you 8% back in points to spend 45 days after your purchase. Although, as mentioned above, Sweetwater's candy is pretty tasty.

I have the 3 Series Reverb, and as someone who hates spending time dialing in tone when I could be playing guitar, it's perfect for me. It's very easy to get the sound I want - the controls are almost as simple as they can be.
Heads up there's no battery compartment on it (and maybe any of the 3 series?) if that's something you care about.

It's based on the no-longer-made Hao Rumble Drive. Josh is friends with the original maker and got his approval to make the 3 series OD based on the HAO.

Anyone have a link to the list that was floating around showing what each pedal was based on?
