I bought this when it went on sale a few weeks ago and I have used it a bunch. Is it bright within 5 feet, yes. Is it big, yes, is it uncomfortable, yes, does the battery last long, no (45 mins). it works well up close for short periods of time, worth the 13 but not full price.

The answer to the USB-C vs micro question from Darkbeam. Explains why their pic looks like micro and they don't specify the USB connector in their description.

"This C01 headlamp（item code: B099FGL3FF） previously used a Micro USB port, but began upgrading to a USB-C port in 2025. Important Note: Amazon fulfillment centers will ship randomly, most orders now will get the new USB-C version, but there's a very small chance you might get the older Micro-USB version from Amazon's stock. I bought this when it went on sale a few weeks ago and I have used it a bunch. Is it bright within 5 feet, yes. Is it big, yes, is it uncomfortable, yes, does the battery last long, no (45 mins). it works well up close for short periods of time, worth the 13 but not full price.

Is there another one you would recommend? I need something that lasts 5-8 hours.
