For anyone wondering on how long these last:

Both of my 96' Govee lights (1 set from 2-years ago, 1 set from 3-years ago) started to die a couple of months ago. Only 1/2 the string lights up now on both sets. I run them on the app timer (and adjust the timer throughout the year) to operate only when its night.

Same. I have some OG Bluetooth Govee lights from 2020 that are still kicking but everything I've bought since then seems to only last a yr or 2

I ended up getting the 3 year warranty offered on the same page. I bought one set of lights (2 strings) and one of the strings went out. The warranty was fairly painless (took 10-20 min), and they gave me a Amazon gift card for the amount. Might be something to consider. I don't think I'd buy anything electornic 'outdoors' without a warranty.
PS it's easier to claim the warranty if you purchase it the same time as you purchase the lights, but you can technically purchase the warranty in a different order.

As a comparison, I had the Twinkly lights and they failed after about a month (I had ordered them just after the prior Xmas). I tried to get the company to honor my warranty since I was under the one year but instead they wasted my time having me send in all kinds of videos which included me using a voltmeter to prove the plug was dead. None of the plugs they sent me worked and I got busy and just got tired of dealing with them. When I tried to pick the conversation up again after a few months, they just declined to help anymore.

Just adding another datapoint. 3 years in the Florida sun with nightly use.

I picked up a set in October 2024 and they've survived nightly use. I read reviews that people noticed failures after one or more of the bulbs accumulated water. To prevent this, I added a dollop of silicone sealant where the wires enter each bulb. It was cheap and only took a few minutes.

I didn't see a place to buy additional warranty. I only saw that they offer a 1yr limited warranty.
