It is a good tool, but has some flaws due to safety features. The biggest flaw is: to switch between blower and vacuum (or to remove the leaf bag for emptying) you need to rotate a knob which is internally rotating the motor. But because you have leaves and debris inside, it is almost impossible to move the knob.
I wanted to use it only as a vacuum, but that knob makes it difficult to operate.
Otherwise this is a good machine. The fan blades are metallic which should be good for small branches.

Good tool AFTER YOU...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembling this tool is NOT at all intuitive. And the assembly directions are just drawings. 1st problem, you have to lift the knob to turn it. There is a decal telling you to lift the knob but it's under the front off the knob where you won't notice it. It should be on top of the knob. I've put a label so stating on top of the knob on my unit. And after you lift the knob everything is so tight you'll think youre going to break it. There is a QR code to an assembly video. The video doesn't cover difficulties almost everyone will have, i.e. when adding the collection bag the parts are tight and misalign easily. The proper alignment gets the plastic part of the bag to about 1/4" away from the housing. It does not "snap" into place so you can turn the knob to lock it in place. Rather once you get the 2 pieces within about a quarter inch of each other you have to lift the knob and turn it so that a "thread" inside the unit will draw the pieces together. However, the pieces are so tight that turning the knob takes so much strength that you'll feel like you're about to break it. I've now lubed everything with silicone, and it's still pretty difficult to turn the knob. Once you finally get it assembled, you'll feel it was worth the effort because the vacuum works great. I didn't need to use the shoulder harness. And especially like that the collection bag is situated so that it doesn't rub against my pants. My wired Worx vacuum makes its collection bag rub against my pants and gets them filthy with leaf dust. Since it's a hassle to convert this unit fron vac to blower and back I won't be using it as a blower. Luckily I have a small cordless Ryobi leaf blower that I like very much.
