I don't have this brand, but a very similar looking frigidair model in an island:
https://www.frigidaire.com/en/p/k...GCCG3048AB
Which appears to be at the same price. I really like that mine has backlights on the knobs. Overall very happy with it, and like the cast iron grill design, similar to the one in the OP, makes it very easy to clean as aside from the actual burners and knob area, the surface under the grates is flat with no ridges/divets. But the burner components lift off without any effort as well as the knobs to make it easy to clean around.

Installation was very easy. Took maybe an hour to remove old and put this one in. Most of that time was getting the old gas line loosened and cleaning up the counter area under the old one as a lot of debris had collected over time.

Only issue I've had, is on the smallest burner, boiling pasta boiled over and was enough to knock out the flame. I don't understand how in 2025 these things don't have thermocouplers like fireplaces/central heaters to detect heat, and if not detected, shut off the gas flow.

Do not put the cast iron grates in the dishwasher. They will come out looking rusted. If you have it's fixable but a PITA, google cast iron rust fix.

Looks like best buy has a similar one for the same price. Specs look the same as far as I can tell but the knobs look different:

Controls on the top is a great idea lol
Show me a drop-in cooktop that doesn't have top controls. These have to go into a cutout in the countertop.

I have this exact one..no complaints. I bought the griddle top that clips on and use that all the time..it was hundreds of dollars more if you bought the combo version, or about $40 if you bought it separately (which I did). But overall, it was a drop in replacement of an old GE and has been great.

This looks pretty nice, thanks for sharing. Anything else to look out for on these? Our ignitors stopped working and it seems like the trend is to replace with a full oven/range but that requires cabinet and countertop work so thinking of going with another drop in.

That sounds awesome. Where do you find the griddle top for this? I have the same model

its the wrong picture there is a cheaper version that has plastic knobs. The metal knobs is the flat knobs (better in my opinion) and the one links to the post.

That's the only way I would want them to be. I have a 3 year old and don't want the knobs to be in her reach.

I have the exact same model, and I agree that it's little small. However, that doesn't bother us at all.
