I have owned this camera for several years. Despite not 4K it still offers a pretty good video. Agree that the mount is trash and needs to me sticky rather than suction. I did end up replacing my mount. Combine this with the OBD hardware for 24 hour motion its a nice setup.

I do like the Vantrue products and have 3 each different models in my other vehicles. Great customer service and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

They often send me emails requesting positive review (and some product list optimization tricks) in exchange for free product so I won't trust any reviews on this product

I have this dash cam for about 6+ years and still going strong. I replaced the mount once but other than that the camera is still working. the built in battery for time keeper is still going strong also. I do remove the dash cam from the mount (very easy to remove) if Im gonna be parking under the sun for extended period of time though.

Is this dash mount's mount easy to frequently install/uninstall?

I'm asking because I'm looking for a dash cam to use in rentals cars so I'd like a dash cam that I can quickly and easily install and uninstall from cars that are only used for 1-3 days at a time.

Why does the Specs state this has a sports team of 1 piece?
less jokingly, does this actually have a battery?

Ive had this for over 5 years, still works, the only thing that failed was small built in battery used for keeping date and time current when turned off, also had to replace memory card but for frequent user thats expected, I also always remove the cam when I exit the car - the mount and connector held up fine. The video quality is good but not great - esp. for todays standard, license plates often may not be easy to read in the video, interior cam and audio is good enough. At the time (N2PRO was released some 6-7 years ago) this was considered premium dashcam, They now have many newer models with more advanced features and upgraded video quality and additional rear cam. If I was to buy another cam today, I would upgrade.

What did you replace the mount with? Having similar problems with the mount falling off in the summer. Thanks in advance!

I vastly prefer the viofo/rexing etc style mount where it slide locks onto the windshield and doesn't move at all, the camera part has the adjustment feature.
Also if your mount is falling off at all in the summer you probably want some better glue pad, like 3M or something. I have had a Viofo dashcam in Phoenix in 2+ summers before it ever came off windshield if it even did, I got the windshield tinted so had to take it off then.
