Thumb up for this deal. Wish it has 3,000Wh to qualify for the Federal tax credit to sweeten the deal even more.

I was disappointed to see that as well. You could attach it to a 3kwh external battery and claim the credit for the system. Consult your tax person to be sure, but the rules are somewhat vague.

Can I purchase two Apex 300 units and use one as an expansion battery? The current sale price for the B300K battery is $1,000 vs Apex $1,300. My plan is to start with this setup for $300 difference and add expansion batteries later when the budget allows.

I suppose you could do that and connect them through the expansion port.

Another option to consider is adding a third party 48V 5kwh battery for around $650.

I contacted Bluetti and is a no go for connecting two Apex 300 directly, must use a Hub A1 parallel box for this setup.

Well that's unfortunate. It was a good thought. Not the most elegant solution, but you could run a cord from the AC outlet of the second one into the AC input of the first one if you need the extra power.

I was recently reading about Pecron tech support encouraging people who are pairing up two 3600LFP power stations through a hub in order to get 240V to also connect them via the expansion port to keep the batteries in balance with each other.
