The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is being discussed as a solid certified preowned option, but the main takeaway is pricing. The Woot price of $529 is repeatedly compared unfavorably with lower alternatives, including Best Buy refurbs around $399, Costco clearance at $449.97, Amazon at $465, and a new Costco purchase for $450. Woot watches have had good results, but this listing is viewed as expensive for an older Ultra 2. A better value may be available if local stock turns up elsewhere.
Costco app searches can surface local Ultra 2 stock when shoppers use the warehouse search flow.
Costco clearance pricing has been reported at $449.97 for an Apple Watch Ultra 2 item number.
A Best Buy refurb Ultra 2 with Milanese or Ocean bands has been reported at $399 when it appears on site.
Amazon pricing has been reported at $465 for the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Woot pricing has been criticized as too high for a watch characterized as essentially three years old.
A preowned Ultra 2 purchase on eBay about 1.5 years ago has been described as cheaper than the current Woot price.
Best Buy refurb AppleCare availability has been questioned at the $529 price point.
Searching Costco for "Apple Watch Ultra" has been reported to return no results, requiring a different search approach.
